Your community is our community.
Our bankers care about helping our entire community thrive and prosper.
Yes, our approach to doing business has earned us a reputation as a bank you can depend on, but our commitment to you goes beyond financial services.
Our clients count on us to support the people and organizations working to build and care for our communities. Our culture is deeply rooted in the values of service and philanthropy, and we believe strong communities are built with local volunteers, donations and leadership.
We are proud of the time, energy and compassion our associates dedicate by volunteering for many local non-profit organizations each year.
From sponsoring a basketball scoreboard, to tutoring elementary school students, to raising funds for the United Way or serving as board members on local committees, you’ll find us involved in every aspect of the areas we serve.
These are just some of the many ways we’re active in our community. It’s an honor to work alongside our friends and neighbors.
Second National donates to new Arcanum Butler Multi-Purpose/Ag Building
Second National Bank’s Jerry Beatty had the exciting opportunity to attend the ground-breaking for the new Arcanum Butler Multi-Purpose/Ag Building. We also pledged $50,000 toward the new 18,000-square foot facility that will be used for community activities, athletic training and agricultural education classes.
Second National answers the call to save a family’s Christmas
On the week of Christmas a local organization called to see if we could give four young children the Christmas they deserved. Their grandmother was awarded emergency custody, and when the children arrived at her doorstep, they only had the clothes they were wearing.
More than 40 Main Office associates sprang into action. In a few days, toys, clothes, food baskets, gas cards, and even a bicycle for each child came through our doors. Our Consumer Lending Operations team wrapped every gift.
“Stories like these don’t only belong to Second National Bank; you can find this heart for humanity and willingness to help across all of our affiliate banks. The focus on family is part of our culture,” said Kathy Etter, a commercial credit analyst who helped lead the effort.
Arrangements were made to deliver the gifts on Christmas Eve. When our associate pulled into the driveway with a van overflowing, she was greeted by the misty-eyed grandmother. She was overcome not only by the number of gifts for the children but that we bought her a few gifts too.
As the presents were placed around the tree, the grandmother shared she was worried she wouldn’t have been physically or financially able to provide a nice Christmas for her grandchildren.
Stories like these are a reminder to embrace the spirit of giving to make someone else’s holiday a little brighter.
Second National Bank is delighted to be able to say “yes” to the many requests we get for donations, sponsorships, volunteers and other contributions that support our communities. We strongly believe in investing our money locally and doing everything in our power to support the people and groups in our neighborhoods.Make a Request
