Your community is our community.
Our bankers care about helping our entire community thrive and prosper.
Yes, our approach to doing business has earned us a reputation as a bank you can depend on, but our commitment to you goes beyond financial services.
Our clients count on us to support the people and organizations working to build and care for our communities. Our culture is deeply rooted in the values of service and philanthropy, and we believe strong communities are built with local volunteers, donations and leadership.
We are proud of the time, energy and compassion our associates dedicate by volunteering for many local non-profit organizations each year.
From sponsoring a basketball scoreboard, to tutoring elementary school students, to raising funds for the United Way or serving as board members on local committees, you’ll find us involved in every aspect of the areas we serve.
These are just some of the many ways we’re active in our community. It’s an honor to work alongside our friends and neighbors.
Wearing jeans to give back to the Community
Second National Bank employees give money to wear jeans on the first Friday of each month to donate to a non-profit charitable organization. The bank holds a drawing each month to select the organization that receives the funds that month. In 2018, we were able to help the following groups: Darke County Park District, Darke County American Red Cross, Youth for Christ, March of Dimes, Brethren Home Resident Aid Fund, Fish Food Pantry, The Recovery Wellness Centers of Midwest Ohio, The Backpack Program, United Way, Darke County YMCA and Adopt a Child Gateway Youth Programs.
Reaching out to tornado victims
When five tornados touched down in western Mercer County and Celina this year, a group got together and held a benefit fundraiser to assist those who were impacted. Second National was proud to provide Raffle Baskets for the Silent Auction, along with a contribution to help support the event.
Building on a Promise Campaign at Mercer Health
We pledged $25,000 toward the Med Foundation of Mercer Health in support of its “Promise Campaign for the West Wing Expansion Project” to help provide and better serve the healthcare needs of their patients. The project also helps build on the promise between the community and the organization made nearly 70 years ago to provide local quality healthcare, quality employment and strong economic support for the Mercer County Community.
Second National Bank is delighted to be able to say “yes” to the many requests we get for donations, sponsorships, volunteers and other contributions that support our communities. We strongly believe in investing our money locally and doing everything in our power to support the people and groups in our neighborhoods.Make a Request
